Hi!

My name is Erica Harrison and I am a freelance designer, illustrator and printmaker based in Auckland, New Zealand.

I worked in-house at Usborne Publishing for 12 years, managing a team of designers and illustrators working predominantly on doodling, colouring and activity books. I am very experienced in book design, I have strong layout skills and I am good at writing a brief as well as working to one.

I was lucky enough to be able to illustrate a lot of the books I designed at Usborne and have since gone on to illustrate a number of picture books for other publishing companies too.  Although most of my experience lies in children's publishing I have had some great opportunities to work in other fields of illustration including several editorial and advertising campaigns.

I mostly work digitally and I am confident in Adobe Photoshop,  Illustrator and Indesign. I love to use bold shapes and bright colours to create illustrations to make you smile.
